Een van de highlights op het evenement Material Xperience (27-29 januari in Ahoy Rotterdam) is de presentatie van 10 nieuwe Local World Tables; een concept van ontwerper Gerard der Kinderen. Het gaat om 10 tafels van telkens een ander materiaal: o.a. leer, bamboe, glas, zink, acrylaat en epoxyhars. Een visueel én tactiel spektakel.
